F5J-Barotimer (AMRT)
The F5j Barotimer is specifically designed for F.A.I. F5j class of electric powered model gliders and is compliant with the FAI sporting code section 4 when competing. Essentially, it is an Altitude Motor Run Timer (AMRT) and is used for F5j competitions. The F5j Barotimer combines F5j (electric gliders) needs to limit engine run time with the accurate launch heights necessary for all F5j competitions. This device gives F5j glider pilots the means to limit the motor run time to a maximum of 30 seconds and provides an accurate start height in meters above local ground leve
Connection
The barotimer is connected between the receiver throttle channel and the ESC. The barotimer will function with input voltages (derived from ESC BEC or receiver flight pack) within the range of 5 to 9 Volts.
